So you thought winter was over?

A barrage of late season storms have been hitting northern Utah about weekly since the beginning of April bringing over 120 inches of snow to the upper Little Cottonwood Canyon since April 1st. This has made for some great late season turns, even as most of the resorts have shut down their lifts for the season.

If you want to stay updated on when the storms are coming and when the best riding conditions are going to be you should definitely head over to http://www.utahskiweather.com. There you will find daily weather forecasts, conditions reports, and discussions so you are well informed on when to head up to the slopes.

UtahSkiWeather.com is a non-profit volunteer based website created by graduate students from the University of Utah Department of Atmospheric Sciences. It’s goal is to provide quality weather and condition information to the skiing and riding community of Utah.

So don’t put those skis and boards in the closet yet, since this weekend should bring some great April (and May!) powder skiing, and check out UtahSkiWeather.com for the latest reports on where it is going to be steep and deep!

I came across your site and I wanted to let you know that I love your pics, they are awesome. Skiing is starting in Whistler tomorrow, and seeing your shots inspires me to get out there first thing in the morning. Cheers
